Yes, Mayor Bill Dewey is most underrated character of Steven Universe (I don't sure too).
One of reason is "He had a crush on Pearl". Most shipper want Pearl pairing up with other gem (not with him).
Some Pearl x Other Gem Characters shippers become to hardcore Anti Pewey shipping and anti everything about him (They thought, Mayor Dewey is gooseberry for them).
It made him become most poor character of Steven Universe. (Yes, he become to "Mayor Loser Dewey" by some hardcore Pewey ship haters)
I feel okay, if you hate Mayor Dewey with some reason. But if you hate him just because, he had a crush on Pearl and you're Pearl x Other Gem Characters shippers.
It's unfair and most stupid hate reason to me.
